3. Number of AttemptsCandidates can attempt JEE Advanced up to three times in three consecutive years.
4. Class 12 Exam AppearanceCandidates must have appeared in their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
5. Prior Admission at IITsCandidates previously admitted to an IIT under any JoSAA 2024 or earlier program are not eligible. Those admitted to preparatory courses in 2024 may apply.

How to Apply for JEE Main 2025

Eligible candidates who want to appear in the JEE Main January 2025 session can apply by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official JEE Main website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, find and click on the link labeled “Online Application Form for JEE (Main) – 2025 Session-1.”
  3. Select the “New Registration” option and fill out the registration form with the required information.
  4. Log in using the system-generated registration number and password, and complete the application form.
  5. Pay the application fee to confirm your submission.

Important Note for Previous IIT Admits

 

Candidates who have previously been admitted to any IIT for an academic program listed in the JoSAA 2024 business rules (or earlier) are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. However, those admitted to preparatory courses at IITs for the first time in 2024 are still eligible to appear.
