The selection for Constable (Driver and Trade) involves several stages, including:

- Written Exam – 100 marks

Candidates can gain up to 10 bonus marks if they possess the following qualifications:
- 5 marks for sports proficiency at the national or international level
- 5 marks for holding an NCC ‘C’ or NSS certificate
