YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed strong disapproval of Tollywood actor Allu Arjun’s arrest following the tragic stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The incident, which occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4, resulted in the death of a 39-year-old woman, Revathi, and left her son hospitalized.

Jagan Mohan Reddy took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his concerns, stating that the loss of life was an irreplaceable tragedy for the family. However, he questioned the fairness of holding Allu Arjun directly responsible for the incident. Reddy emphasized that the actor had expressed deep sorrow and offered support to the affected family, which demonstrated his responsible behavior.
“It is unfair to frame criminal charges against Allu Arjun when he was not directly involved in the stampede,” Reddy remarked, adding, “I strongly condemn his arrest.”
